​To our dedicated site for the Al's Nest Open.



Eleven years ago a tradition was born.  As I like to say it's a "Tradition Like Others, But All Our Own." We have been very fortunate to enjoy the camaraderie, relaxation, and laughter that accompany taking a break from being father's and husbands.  Hopefully one day we can pass on all that fun as our sons eventually join in this welcome retreat.

 

My goal in creating this site ​is to provide a record of all the fun that we have had over the years, provide ease of use to keep things organized, and to hopefully encourage more friends to set aside the time to join us for a day or two in June.

Al's Nest Open dates for the XII event are June 11th to June 15th.

Thursday June 12th 2025 - Shawnee Golf Course

Friday - June 13th 2025 - Skytop Golf Course

Saturday - June 14th 2025 -  The Poconos Club aka CCOP

Sunday - June 15th 2025 - Cleanup and Head Home

Notes: 

Weather:  We play rain or shine. Nice days can turn nasty quickly in the mountains.

 

Packing:  Pack like you are going into the woods because you are.  The weather can swing 30 degrees easy day to night. 

 

Food:  Please indicate what you are bringing and when/if you are cooking when you register.

​

Booze:

Plan on cans if you are taking beer out to the course.  Usually don't get too much slack as long as we take care of the cart girls.  Each person should bring 2-3 cases of beer with them.  Any direction you go in if you have to just "pick something up" is at least a 1/2 hour of your time. Bring the beer with you.

 

The question as always is, "Who will win the coveted Baby Gaumer?"
